You must have heard the name of Bhangarh at one time or another, whenever there is a discussion about haunted places, it definitely comes up.
Bhangarh is a pre-historic site as well as tourist destination. If you are traveling to Bhangarh, then it travels at 1.5 hrs. Bhangarh is a Haunted Fort
Bhangarh Fort is a haunted fort built in the 17th century at Rajgarh Alwar in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The fort is situated on the border of the Sariska Sanctuary in the hills range in Alwar district. The nearest village to the fort is Gola. And the road to the entrance of the fort about 2 kilometers is rough.
When you enter the fort, you will first find a tin and wooden caution board from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which clearly shows that Bahan is forbidden to enter the premises from this point. Failure to follow this rule will be done legally and then after a short walk you are greeted by another hoarding board, the fort is forbidden to enter the boundaries of the haunted Bhangarh Fort before sunrise and after sunset. Non-observance of this rule will be done legally.
For almost the last two centuries, ghosts and similar unusual incidents have been seen many times to the people around and to the tourists who visit them. Even the local people are scared of death as soon as they hear the name of the place and the nearest villages here are quite far away. The ruins clearly convey a supernatural aura to anyone who visits it. This fort is located in Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is said that it is not allowed to go here at night time. And the Archaeological Survey of India has strictly prohibited anyone from entering and staying in this fort. This can be quite scary and dangerous.
History of Bhangarh Fort
This fort was built in 1573 by Raja Bhagwant Das of Amer for his son Madho Singh. It is said that this beautiful fort was inhabited for 300 years. Collapsed after that. There are many secrets and many stories behind it.
Due to the destruction of Bhangarh
It is said that the princess Ratnavati of Bhangarh was very beautiful. Her beauty was well known in the entire state. One day the princess and her sisters went to the market. Went to a perfume shop in the market and was smelling the perfume. Then a magician named Sindhu caught sight. That magician was from that state. In the shop where the princess was taking perfume, go to the same shop and use the Basikaran mantra in the perfume. After some time the princess learns that she has done black magic.
The princess threw the perfume bottle on the stone and the bottle broke. Due to black magic, the stone went behind Indus and the magician died.
Before death the magician cursed that all the people of this fort would die and their souls would wander.
Tourism of Bhangarh Fort
The fort of Bhangarh is counted among the most haunted places in India and is called cursed. It is seen with a unique view of tourism. A stone plaque shows the map of the fort when entering the fort from the entrance to get a unique glimpse of the fort. If you spend a while on this map, you will be defined by this city in a short time. Bhangarh is surrounded by lush green hills of Aravali. The fort which is completely ruined still expresses a story. Inside the complex, temples, palaces and havelis can be found on entering the ruins fort from the main gate of the city. The fort has four entry points besides the main gate, Lahori Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Phulbari Gate and Delhi Gate. The entrance to the fort has several Hindu temples and at the main entrance. Major temples are Hanuman Temple, Gopinath Temple, Someshwar Temple, Keshav Rai Temple, Ganesh Temple, Mangla Devi Temple and Naveen Temple. All these temples, built in the 17th century, offer lofty examples of architecture and workmanship and are enchanting to the mind.
The Gopinath Temple, built atop a 14 feet raised platform, has exquisite stone carvings and use of yellow stones. Moving further, the residence of the chief priest named Purohitji's Haveli in the temple complex is located in the east. Later inside the fort's predecessor, many unique grand havelis are found in the ruins; Which is Nachan Ki Haveli (dancer's palace) and Johri Bazaar (market place). The Royal Palace, which stands at the end of the fort's boundary, is said to be seven storeys in the royal palace, although now only four of it remain.
