Good news for American tourists: Italy, one of the world's most popular destinations in the European Union, has reopened its tourism door to tourists for Japan and Canada, including the US. American tourists have been officially relaxed for quarantine-free travel following a major decision by the Italian Health Ministry encouraging people dreaming of summer to return to the coast of Italy, the world's most popular site.
Earlier, Americans could visit Italy on condition that they agreed to quarantine upon arrival. But now Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza has announced that American tourists will now be allowed to travel to Italy with Europeans after meeting the requirements of the European Union's digitally approved Green Certificate by the government.
This means the US traveler needs to prove that they have been vaccinated, have a certificate of recovery from COVID-19, or a negative PCR- or rapid-antigen test taken within 48 hours.
He announced the new rules on Facebook, which are in effect from June 19.
I signed a new ordinance which:
1) allows entry from European Union countries and the United States, Canada and Japan with the requirements of the Green Certificate;
2) extends the measures to ban entry from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka;
3) introduces a 5-day quarantine with a swab requirement for those coming from Great Britain.

Along with this, some other non-European countries have also been allowed - including Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Rwanda, Singapore and Thailand. At a press conference on Wednesday he confirm, This decision has been taken by the Prime Minister of Italy, Mario Draghi to help Italian hoteliers and restaurants who have been reeling from the hard hit of Covid for a year and a half. But until now, Italy was only partially open to tourists who were able to take a Covid test on arrival and whose reports were negative.
According to the Italian Embassy in the United States, under the new rules, people who have been vaccinated will be able to prove it through a 'white card' bearing the CDC logo." Italy lifts the restrictions on the Americans, it joins countries like France. The Delta variant on arrival from the UK enforces quarantine over fears.
As everyone is well aware, Italy is now emerging from the third wave of epidemics. Hotels, restaurants and bars have been opened for services like outdoor and indo for tourists and people. Night curfew has also been lifted. But still make sure to wear masks in public places, both indoors and outside.
