Often every year during the summer season, Americans rush to pack up their cars and leave their homes to go outside. As per the safety guidelines of COVID 19, the quarantine and lockdown put a barrier on everyone, due to which most people started going a little crazy under the stay-at-home order.
A new vaccine has helped the public since the end of 2020. And after the relief of the big wave of COVID 19 this year, as other countries are reeling from the pandemic of COVID 19, Americans in the United States are heading to national parks such as The Yosemite National Park in California and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. But visitors have to spend more time sitting in their cars to reach the destination as they wait to reach the vast outdoors.
The facilities are showing less engagement due to the current COVID-19 guidelines in US national parks and limited staffing in congestion. Also some national parks are having to close their gates for security reasons, as they are quickly becoming overcrowded with tourists.
However, with many restrictions on the borders due to security guidelines, American citizens are forced to visit parts of their own beautiful country. where do people go to see the most beautiful parts of US? who are truly untouched by them. Moreover, the parks have responded as follows - some are closing and park rangers and the NPS are urging outsiders to move to lesser-known parks.
Which national parks are the most overcrowded?
As per the US National Park Service (NPS) in recent weeks, overcrowding has prompted many parks to introduce online timed-entry reservation systems this summer to curb visitors' hopes of getting back to the things they love. Some of these parks include places like Maine's Acadia National Park, Montana's Glacier National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Muir Woods National Monument, Zion Natural Park in Utah, and Yosemite National Park. Visitors to the park at places that do not use the reservation system say they have not found parking space, and had to wait for more than 4 hours.

We may not yet be able to offer our previous level of service as we are slowly emerging from the ongoing coronavirus epidemic," a statement by the National Park Service said.
So, people have a solution to "go to small city parks." City parks are available in different sizes and and shapes and need to pay some loving attention to each one to make them feel like national parks. These are the simplest ways. Also, they cost less to travel. This is not the same type of summer season that you will get to see popular parks, but can still find more parks to meet experience things of your choice. - Said Jessica Gosett, a park ranger at T.O. Fuller State Park!
This summer is in different shape with 2020 High and low visit
Despite increased interest in outdoor activity in the US in 2020 due to COVID-19 safety guidelines restrictions, national parks saw a 28 percent drop in attendance due to the pandemic. However, in 2019, 11 parks recorded more than 5 million Americans.
According to an article published in the Wall Street Journal, the number of visitors to national parks has increased drastically in 2021. In April alone, more than 194,000 people visited Utah's Arches National Park. This number is a 15 per cent increase over the number of visitors during the same month in 2019. In southeastern Utah, The Canyonlands have seen an increase of about 30 percent. And Yellowstone recorded an 11 percent increase.
"We are expecting one of our busiest summers in the most popular destination - national parks," National Park Service spokesman Jenny Anzelmo-Sarles told CBS MoneyWatch on Thursday."
